I teach clients how to use their bodies (somatic tools) and their internal experiences (experiential tools) to close the gap between mental and physical in order to help them achieve real, lasting results in their wellbeing and their lives.1 For a list of tools I use, please scroll down to “Embodiment.”
Has talking about your problems not gotten the results you want? Do you have health issues that aren’t responding well to treatment? Our nervous systems are injured by stress and trauma of all types, making us feel anxious or depressed as well as causing physical illness and pain. I help clients regulate or resolve issues in their nervous system–the foundation of both mental and physical health. This enables clients to spend more time in autonomic states that promote physical and mental health instead of disease. I also support clients navigating the world of healthcare by helping them understand issues and their rights as well as to feel empowered in their decisions.
What does that look like in practice? In your sessions we will:
- Assess where you’re at in cornerstone areas of wellbeing, evaluating what’s working and what needs work.
- Identify obstacles to your optimal wellbeing.
- Make and execute plans to minimize or remove those obstacles using the many tools of body-based practices. If I don’t have a tool for your obstacle, I can usually refer you to someone who does.
Why body-based practices? Because they:
- Use your own bodymind’s wisdom and mechanisms, side effects are minimal.
- Are time-tested though millennia and backed by current scientific research.
- Can be effective additions or alternatives to surgery, medication or talk therapy.
You can learn and feel how to build physical and psychological self-awareness. Then act to regulate your systems, build new neural pathways, align your lifestyle to your biology and your actions to your values–optimizing your physical and mental wellbeing. Your bodymind is built to heal.
BodyMind
Embodiment
gives form (in your body) to something abstract such as ideas or emotions. Something must be experienced to be truly understood. I feel, therefore I am.
The languages of the bodymind are sensation and metaphor. Become more fluent using art, bilateral stimulation, breathwork, discomfort tolerance, EYP, inner parts work, meditation, ritual, visualization, vocalization, neuro-yoga, yoga therapy and other practices. Let your body speak to you, teach you and bring you into better alignment.
Psychedelics can be powerful tools of embodiment and integration. I also support clients who use psychedelics therapeutically.

BodyMind
Integration
unites all parts. There is no line where mind ends and body begins; they are a continuum. The body cannot function optimally if the mind is wounded and vice versa.
Using your new tools and awareness, you can understand all your parts and feel cohesiveness and balance. You can also access more resources to heal and to take action in your life. Belong in your body, with others, in the world and belong to something bigger than yourself.

Whole BodyMind
Results
They happen when the bodymind is addressed as a whole within an environment and community. My clients have found these practices helpful in coping with:
- Chronic illness and pain such as autoimmune disease and migraines
- Nervous system issues such as depression, anxiety and trauma.
- Relationship issues in work, family and other social situations.
Feel more comfort in your body, more peace in your mind and belonging where you are.

Q: Is it physical or psychological?
A: Yes.
