Kristen Davis
Owner and Therapist at BoMi
I approach each client with the intent to understand connections and find roots. Clarity about your body and your life as integrated systems is vital to your wellbeing. If at all possible, I want clients to find the source of a problem and resolve it, not just manage it.
I ask clients to be active participants rather than passive recipients. My practices are things you do, not things you have done to you.
From this intention, I teach practices that heal the bodymind through integration and alignment. I draw on my training in yoga therapy, patient advocacy, internal parts work, fine art and systems management. I also use elements from strength training, dance, literary arts, spiritual practices, social work and health education. It’s all connected.
Education is one of my best tools. When you understand how something works, it changes everything. It gives you power to discern and to act effectively. Clients may learn about their body, their emotions or their relationships and how they can care for all of them. And in order to offer my clients the best information possible, I continually seek further education myself.
As a patient advocate, I respect the fact that your body, your resources and your life are your own. You have the right to preserve them. This not only informs how I practice with clients, but I can help you navigate a healthcare system effectively and with confidence.
